Will there be a cinematic universe for Detective Poirot in the future?
The plot continues with another story from Detective Poirot – the famous detective accidentally discovers a bad love triangle during his vacation in Egypt. As early as 2017, when interviewing with the Associated Press, Kenneth Branagh was in the pre-production phase for ‘Death on the Nile’. At that time, he also came up with the idea of a new detective cinematic Universe, inspired by Agatha Christie’s Detective Poirot series.
“I think there are many possibilities. With 66 books, short stories and plays, she instinctively also brings the characters together in her policy – and she enjoys it. You will feel a rather complete world – similar to that of Dickens – with some sort of character in that world. I think this world can be completely built. “
‘Death on the Nile’ is expected to premiere in October 2020.
