WHO Advisory Board Member: The CCP is still hiding about COVID on a large scale

On Monday (June 7), a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) advisory board told Fox News that China is still hiding a large scale of COVID-19, amid source theory. The original virus leaked from the Wuhan laboratory became reliable.

Mr. Jamie Metzl said on the program “America’s Newsroom”: “The Chinese are engaged in a large-scale cover-up that continues to this day, involving the destruction of samples, concealment of records, mouthing of Chinese scientists, and imprisonment. Chinese journalists ask the most basic questions.”

China is said to have plans to build dozens of biosafety level 3 labs and one biosafety level 4 lab over the next five years, as investigators look into more possibilities. Coronavirus may have leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.

Mr. Metzl also commented: “The more China gets in the way, the more suspicious it becomes. We cannot give China a veto over whether we investigate the world’s worst pandemic in a century and then do everything we can to keep everyone safe.”

WHO advisory board member emphasizes the importance of doing everything possible to achieve a “comprehensive investigation” on the pandemic, including the United States working with its allies for a “corresponding” process should China not cooperate.

Mr. Metzl explained: “There is a reason why, after a plane crashes, we do everything we can to understand what happened. If we don’t learn those lessons, there are other planes flying in the air [và sự cố có thể lập lại]. For all we know, the next pandemic is imminent and if we don’t understand and fix our biggest problems, we’re taking unnecessary risks. We have to get to the bottom of this, which means asking tough questions and tracking data wherever it leads.”

Mr. Metzl called WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is a “hero” for his handling of the investigation, which host Bill Hemmer objected.

Mr. Metzl argued: “There was good reason to criticize WHO in the early days of the pandemic. However, later in the current period, Dr Tedros has essentially risked his entire career to protect the integrity of WHO, by fundamentally rejecting the validity of the group’s report. joint investigation and said that we need a comprehensive investigation of all origin hypotheses [của virus], including [giả thuyết] laboratory incident.”

The Hemmer host added: “But that is not what Mr. Tedros said in the beginning. It took a while for him to get that perspective.”

Then, Mr. Metzl responded: He said absolutely right. However, we also need to acknowledge that WHO does not have the mandate to have its own surveillance capabilities. In fact, they [WHO] there are emergency responders that they want to send to Wuhan, which was locked down by China in the early days of the pandemic for more than three weeks.”

The virus lab leak theory has gained credibility in the United States and around the world over the past few weeks after a controversial Wall Street Journal article revealed that three researchers at the lab Wuhan virologist showed COVID-19 symptoms in late 2019 before the pandemic hit. However, as with competing theories about how the virus first spread to humans, the lab crash hypothesis remains unproven.
