Vivo has taken the wraps off the Vivo Y3 Standard Edition in its home market China. The device is a variant of the standard Vivo Y3, which went official in May 2019. Unlike the variant that was launched earlier, the latest offering comes with dual cameras at the rear and a Snapdragon chipset.
The Vivo Y3 Standard Edition comes with a power button that can double as a trigger to activate the Jovi AI voice assistant. It comes with a Game Magic Box, which is for gaming. The smartphone features a dedicated microSD card for additional memory space.
Vivo Y3 Standard Edition Price
The Vivo Y3 Standard Edition has been launched with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. It is priced at 999 yuan (approx. Rs. 10,000). The smartphone comes in Jake Red and Ink Blue colors. It is available via the official Vivo website in China.

When it comes to specifications, the Vivo Y3 Standard Edition bestows a 6.35-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch. The screen has a resolution of 1544 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.3:9. Under its hood, the smartphone makes use of a Snapdragon 439 chipset and a capacious 5000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging technology.
The smartphone runs Android 9 Pie topped with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 9.1. The imaging aspects include dual cameras at its rear with a 13MP primary camera sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. At the front, there is an 8MP sensor within the notch. The other aspects of the smartphone include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and support for Face Unlock.
The Vivo Y3 Standard Edition comes with connectivity aspects including Bluetooth, GPS, a micro USB port, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
What We Think
The Vivo Y3 Standard Edition is an entry-level smartphone with standard specifications but it lacks some important specifications that we have seen in rivals in the same pricing category such as offerings from Redmi and Realme.
