Vietnamese athletes are offered a ‘terrible’ reward if they win Olympic gold in 2021

A sponsor has decided to offer a reward to Vietnamese athletes if they achieve high results at the 2021 Olympics.

A sponsor has decided to offer rewards to Vietnamese athletes if they win Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with the following reward levels: 500 million dong, 300 million dong and 200 million dong.

At the 2016 Olympic Games, sniper Hoang Xuan Vinh made history for Vietnamese sports when he became the first athlete to win an Olympic gold medal, setting a new Olympic record. Besides, Hoang Xuan Vinh also won another silver medal.

The achievement of 1 gold and 1 silver helped the Vietnam Sports Delegation rise to the 48th position out of 86 medal-winning countries and territories on the final standings of the 2016 Rio Olympics.

According to the plan, the Vietnam Sports Delegation will depart for Tokyo on July 18, with 43 members led by Deputy Director General in charge of the General Department of Sports and Sports, Tran Duc Phan.

To ensure absolute safety for each member of the TTVN delegation participating in the Tokyo Olympics 2021, up to this point, 100% of athletes have been fully vaccinated with 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

Currently, 18 athletes who have won tickets to the Olympics have good health and expertise, all are ready to wait for the day to go to compete at the Tokyo Olympics 2021.
