TPO – During a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on the afternoon of July 12, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked Israel to facilitate the transfer of vaccines that Israel signed with AstraZeneca and Moderna.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett highly appreciated Vietnam’s recent achievements in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as in socio-economic development and foreign relations; affirming that Israel attaches importance to further promoting multi-faceted cooperation with Vietnam.
On this occasion, the Prime Ministers of the two countries exchanged invitations for official visits towards the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Israel (1993-2023).
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated Mr. Naftali Bennett on being elected Prime Minister of the State of Israel, believing that under the leadership of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, the Israeli people will achieve many important achievements in land construction and development. prosperous and happy country.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his impression of Israel’s success in implementing the vaccination campaign, proactively seeking external vaccine supplies and conducting research and development of vaccines in the country, thereby creating conditions for Israel to gradually open up and recover its economy.
In the context of new mutations that have made the COVID-19 epidemic more and more complicated, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expected the two sides to work closely in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The two sides soon connect and cooperate in research and development of vaccines as well as other treatment solutions; special priority is given to assisting Vietnam in accessing the fastest COVID-19 vaccines and drugs through all possible forms of cooperation, especially Israel’s facilitating the transfer of vaccines. which Israel signed with Astra Zeneca and Moderna.
The two Prime Ministers agreed to be willing to work closely to make the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries more practical and effective; speeding up the negotiation and signing of the Free Trade Agreement and the Labor Cooperation Agreement between the two countries; set a higher goal to strive to increase investment and two-way trade, towards a sustainable recovery after the pandemic. In which, focus on the exchange of delegations at all levels and people-to-people exchanges; improve the quality of cooperation mechanisms; strengthen coordination at multilateral forums; promote cooperation in research, innovation, science and technology, high-tech agriculture, education and training…; encourage businesses of the two sides to increase exchanges, business cooperation and investment in each country.
The two Leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The Israeli Prime Minister expressed his high agreement with the proposals of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and proposed to assign relevant ministries and agencies of the two countries to soon implement concretely the contents discussed by the two Prime Ministers, especially cooperation. in the field of COVID-19 vaccines, contributing to further deepening the multifaceted cooperation relationship between the two countries in the coming time.
