Rasmiya Awad was arrested with her husband and daughter-in-law during a Turkish army raid near the Syrian town of Azaz.
Reuters quoted a senior Turkish official as saying that Rasmiya Awad is the sister of the leader of the Islamic State (IS), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who recently died in a battle. US military service in northwest Syria. She is currently being interrogated while her husband and daughter are detained.
