Tuchel sobbed Arsenal’s ‘dying star’ in front of the London derby

Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel gave praise to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang just before the clash with Arsenal in round 36 of the Premier League, which took place at 2:15 am tomorrow morning (May 13).

Tuchel and Aubameyang worked together when they were at Signal Iduna Park. The Gabon player played impressively in the Borussia Dortmund shirt before moving to the Emirates Stadium. This teacher and student couple had glorious years in Germany. But the two will become rivals in the next round of the 36th Premier League match.

Aubameyang is in poor form this season. He had problems both on and off the pitch, even many Arsenal fans criticized this player. However, coach Thomas Tuchel knows very well the talent of the Gabon striker and praises him.

“Back in the Dortmund days, it’s an honor to have Auba in the squad. He is a great striker who can finish off opponents. But more than that, he is also a professional player on and off the pitch, ”said Tuchel.

“We have a good relationship. In a way, he will always be my player, so I want Auba to achieve a lot of success and have a happy time wherever he is, ”the Blues captain added.

“But, of course Chelsea will try to stop all Aubameyang’s attempts to score in the next derby. I know it’s hard to do so, but we will do our best ”.

Criticism towards Aubameyang is quite unfair to the Gabon player. Although the performance is not good, the 31-year-old striker still has 15 goals and 3 assists for the Gunners this season. And let’s not forget, Aubameyang made a big contribution to Arsenal’s FA Cup and Community Shield championships last season.
