Smartphone is growing more and more new features and technologies. However, Sony alone remains loyal to its traditional values. The biggest and most distinctive change of the Xperia 1 smartphone has just been launched, probably the ultra-long 21: 9 screen.
For personal computers, screens with super-long rates can change our experience, especially when watching movies or playing games. So what about super-long screens on smartphones? Daniel Marchena from XDA TV helped us find the answer.
There are quite a few tasks on smartphones that are completely independent of the aspect ratio of the screen, they simply change to be able to occupy the entire screen display, whether it is 16: 9 or 21: 9. However, playing games on the screen 21: 9 also depends on the type of game.
Play the game on screen 21: 9 of Sony Xperia 1.
Daniel has tried many games such as Afterpulse, Angry Birds, Asphalt 9, Crossy Road, Shooty Skies, Minecraft and Fortnite. Most of these titles work well on 21: 9 screens, when full screen can be displayed. Stardew Valley alone is pretty bad, still keeping the 16: 9 ratio and leaving a huge black space.
Xperia 1's 21: 9 screen is especially effective for horizontal screen games and has touch-sensitive controls on either side. For example, Asphalt 9 or Fortnite, because of the superior screen visibility of 21: 9 compared to 16: 9. The wider screen means a wider display and will give you an advantage in highly competitive games.
