In September and July 2020, Longjing Optoelectronics completed the tens of millions of yuan in B2 round of financing by Lei Shi Investment, and the B round of financing invested by CITIC Securities’ direct investment platform CITIC Securities Investment Co., Ltd. with its own funds. In December 2020, Longjing Optoelectronics announced a B3 round of financing of tens of millions of yuan, and the investor is Hanergy Ventures.

Longjing Optoelectronics was established in 2014, focusing on the R&D and manufacturing of optical and optoelectronic components for virtual displays. It is the first company in China to achieve mass production and mass shipment of arrayed optical waveguides, and at the same time layout the R&D and production of grating waveguides. AR optical waveguide requires high-precision glass cold processing technology, extremely complex film system design, precise control of nearly a hundred nanometer-level film thickness and precise bonding of laminated bevel prisms, etc., all restrict its production capacity. These technical difficulties lead to waveguides. Mass production of lenses is extremely difficult, so yield and yield are very critical. Longjing Optoelectronics is one of the few companies in the industry that can achieve mass production and mass shipment of arrayed optical waveguides. In March 2018, Longjing Optoelectronics’ second-generation 40° optical waveguide products began mass production, and began to plan the construction of its own production plant. In June 2019, the waveguide optical lens factory began production.

In August 2020, Longjing Optoelectronics was completed in Shenzhen-Shantou Cooperation Zone Fashion Brand Industrial Park, and put into production a new production base. With an area of ​​16,400 square meters, 10,000 square meters of renovation has been completed, of which the workshop area is nearly 8,000 square meters, and the remaining space is used for subsequent expansion and reproduction. The landing of the new production base means that Longjing Optoelectronics will have a larger production capacity and the trial and error ability to explore new process research and development paths.
