If you are an iPhone user, you may be familiar with the occasional strange text that will paralyze your device. This week, the incident occurred again and Apple has no solution.

The text contains Italian flag symbols and characters in the Sindhi language. When the iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch receives the notice with this text, everything will become unstable. Sometimes, iPhone is completely paralyzed, sometimes it stops responding when touched …

The source of the text is unknown, but it appears to originate from the group on Telegram. Currently, it is widely shared on Twitter and other social networking platforms so it is worth attention.

This type of vulnerability appears at some point in previous years. For example, in 2015, a similar piece of text was used to “prank” iPhone users. If you send a message to the victim, the Messages app or the iOS operating system is stopped.

The most important thing is that it is completely out of user control. It means that if someone sends you text, the iOS device you are using will no longer work normally.

Apple usually fixes the same problem pretty quickly, so we can expect a patch in iOS 13.4.2 or iOS 13.4.5. In the meantime, the transient solution is to disable notifications on the device.
