this cosplay is so realistic that the developers confused it with the game

This cosplay from The Last of Us Part II is so realistic and impressive that even Naughty Dog failed to tell the difference with the game. The developers initially believed it was a capture of screen.

Released in June 2020, The Last of Us Part II is the second opus of the survival horror series developed by Naughty Dog exclusively for the PlayStation. Although it received the award for best game of the year, players have a very mixed opinion on The Last of Us Part II. The majority of players loved to follow the adventures of Joel and Ellie struggling to survive facing the Infected. However, other players were found to be so violent that they demonstrated homophobia while threatening an actress with death.

Photographer Alon Levin and cosplayer Gull Sheer are among the players who enjoyed The Last of Us Part II so much that they decided to pay homage to the game in their own way. So they recreated a scene from the game with a clapper (the third stage of the Infected). He is throwing himself at a human on the ground who desperately wields his pistol to survive.

A screenshot from The Last of Us Part II or a real photo?

The cosplay is undoubtedly very realistic, from a game point of view of course. It is difficult to see with the naked eye that it is not a scene directly from The Last of Us Part II. Apparently, the developers also got caught up in it.

Indeed, Naughty Dog shared the photo of the scene on his Twitter account, explaining that: ” we had to do a double take to realize this was a cosplay photo and not a screenshot “. The photographer and the cosplayer are really good! Moreover, Naughty Dog is currently in the process of preparing a new solo game for several months. However, we do not yet know if this is the third installment of The Last of Us, even if melee combat seems to occupy a very important place in this project.

Finally, many Internet users praised this cosplay of remarkable quality. Several of them also recalled that they are eagerly awaiting the arrival of a next-gen version of The Last of Us on PlayStation 5 at 60 FPS in 4K. We don’t have any news on this yet, but Neil Druckmann has almost confirmed the arrival of The Last of Us Part II multiplayer mode.
