At the event taking place within the framework of IFA 2019, HMD Global has announced three basic phones: Nokia 800 Tough, Nokia 110 and Nokia 2720 Flip. If the Nokia 800 Tough is a super-durable model, the Nokia 110 is an ultra-cheap model, then the Nokia 2720 Flip brings back the flip design that many people have loved.
The newly launched Nokia 2720 Flip is based on the design inspiration of the Nokia 2720 Fold launched in 2009. 2720 Flip follows a simpler and more modern design with a 1.3 inch monochrome screen on the outside and a 2.8 inch color screen on the inside. The buttons of the machine are large and easy for input. And of course, the feeling of opening and closing the lid of a flip phone after a long time of absence is extremely comfortable and somewhat … relaxing.
In addition to the usual messaging and calling tasks, the KaiOS Nokia 2720 Flip operating system also integrates a number of applications such as Google, Google Maps, WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook and even Google Assistant. Besides answering questions, users can also use Google Assistant to launch applications and input data. The Nokia 2720 Flip also supports 4G, allowing users to share their internet connection with other devices.
And like many basic models, battery life is a strong point of 2720 Flip. Nokia said the device can last for 27 days in standby mode.
Nokia 2720 Flip will be sold in September for 89 euros (2.2 million).
