In its second-quarter report of 2019, Take-Two, the parent company of 2K Games and Rockstar Games, revealed tremendous revenue from two blockbuster Red Dead Redemption 2 and Borderlands 3. With Red Dead Redemption 2, despite the fact that It's been over a year, but it's still Take-Two's best-selling game of 2019 on all platforms.
Only on the Console platform (PS4 and Xbox One), Red Dead Redemption 2 has sold 26.5 million copies, helping Take-Two to earn more than 1.6 billion USD (~ 36 trillion VND). On November 5, the PC version of the game was released worldwide. Although not yet disclosed sales of the PC segment, but according to Take-Two, Red Dead Redemption 2 is having a great start in this new market.
For Borderlands 3, the game has now sold more than 7 million in 2019. With 70% of sales coming from digital products, Borderlands 3 has set a new record for Take-Two.
With very optimistic signals from the new blockbusters, hopefully Take-Two will have more motivation to launch GTA 6 in the future.
