Reuters quoted from national media as saying that the ruling Labor party of North Korea ended a 4-day plenary session on February 11. At the meeting, Kim Jong Un outlined his vision in inter-Korean affairs and relations with other countries, as well as party regulations and personal matters.

With economic affairs at the top of the agenda, Kim Jong Un reviewed the action plans for the new five-year strategy, which was announced at the party congress last month.

The North Korean leader said the cabinet drafted the plans “without major changes” from the previous version.

Also yesterday, a veteran economic congressman O Su Yong, who used to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister was appointed as the new Director of the Economic Affairs Division, replacing Kim Tu Il. in January.

North Korean national television also played a video of Kim Jong Un speaking loudly, pointing and banging a table while speaking at the meeting.
