The puncher Dat Nguyen has become the new king of the BKFC bare handed boxing tournament after defeating rival Johnny Bedford in 5 very intense double matches.
On the night of February 5 at the US time (noon 6/2 time in Vietnam), the original Vietnamese puncher Dat Nguyen made Boxing fans completely surprised when he defeated the defending champion Johnny Bedford to become the new champion enemy in the co-main match of bare hands boxing event “Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship: Knuckle mania”.
Notably, defeating Johnny Bedford and crowning the champion at BKFC is not the final destination of Dat Nguyen.
“I want to be a champion in 3 formats, first barehand boxing, then boxing, and then I will go to UFC to win MMA,” Dat Nguyen said after the match ended.
Commenting that Johnny Bedford is “a very, very good puncher” and “in his brave heart of lions”, Dat Nguyen must admit that he has had a little difficulty at two the first round, before the stormy attacks of the American opponent. Very actively narrow the distance and forced the pitch, Bedford repeatedly chased Dat Nguyen to touch the radio.
But with his sanity, Dat Nguyen was not caught up in the opponent’s rhythm. He made counterattacks with counter attacks with quite high accuracy, even in the second half Bedford was hit staggering.
After having to taste the counter hits from Dat, Bedford slowed his attack again, was no longer rushed like the first half, trying to lure Dat Nguyen into double attacks. But Dat Nguyen stays calm – he consistently has very good counter-attacks, especially when the two pull close.
In the last two rounds, Dat Nguyen started to attack more actively, especially in the 5th half, the continuous punches from Dat Nguyen made a strong impression on the audience. As a result, Dat Nguyen beat Johnny Bedford with the score 48-47, 48-47, 49-46; becomes the new bantamweight champion at BKFC.
