At least 1,380 people living in some areas east and south of the capital Jakarta were evacuated due to flood water levels, Reuters news agency Sabdo Kurnianto said. Here rises to 1.8m.

“The latest data shows that about 200 households are affected. We have prepared dozens of evacuation centers across the capital. The rain has stopped, but the floodwaters still have an impact in Jakarta. I hope the floods do not reach the city center, and when the water recedes, people’s lives will return to normal, ”said Jakarta Mayor Anies Baswedan.
According to Reuters, the rain and flood in the Indonesian capital can last until the beginning of next month.
