Samsung has officially announced that the Galaxy S21 product line can be used with 5G networks of Viettel, Vinaphone and MobiFone.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S21 series includes 3 products S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra that have just been updated with software to be able to use with 5G networks of operators in Vietnam including Viettel, Vinaphone and Mobiphone.
So, currently, Samsung has 3 product lines that can be used with 5G networks in Vietnam, including Galaxy Note, Fold2 and S21. Meanwhile, the rival of the Galaxy S21 and Note 20 series, the iPhone 12, has not yet been opened to 5G by Apple in the Vietnamese market.
Also today, Samsung announced that it has officially set a record for 5G data transfer speed through E-UTRAN New Radio Dual (EN-DC) connection technology. Tested in a laboratory environment in Korea, E-UTRAN technology helped Samsung successfully combine the 40MHz band of 4G wave and the 800MHz band of 5G wave into mmWave wavelength, allowing mobile phone devices Samsung’s 5G connection support mobile phone reaches up to 5.23Gbps of mobile data transmission – the fastest speed in the world today.
Samsung said it has been researching and developing 5G connectivity since 2018 with a maximum recorded speed of more than 1.7Gbps through the multi-gigabit 5G New Radio (NR) band. In 2019, Samsung surpassed this parameter to record a new data rate of 2.65Gbps, this number again reached 4.3Gbps in 2020 and in 2021 continues to peak at 5.23Gbps.
