The arrival of Kingdom Hearts on PC is great news for gamers who haven’t had the chance to try Square Enix’s famous franchise on consoles. For the first time ever, PC gamers will be able to dive into the Disney universe mixed with that of Final Fantasy. Indeed, games in the franchise have been released on many platforms since the first Kingdom Hearts in 2002 on the PS2, but the PC has always been left out, until now.

Kingdom Hearts franchise lands on March 31, 2021 exclusively on the Epic Games Store

The four games and compilations will give you access to the entire catalog of the franchise, with the exception of mobile games of course. From March 31, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind (DLC) et Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory will be available exclusively on the Epic Games Store. They will therefore not benefit from a release on the Steam platform as was the case for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which avoided Valve’s platform for the first time in the history of the franchise.

As Square Enix announced with a trailer shared on YouTube, the release of Kingdom Hearts on PC is an opportunity to find ” Sora, Donald, Goofy, new Disney characters and more you know in four games in which they unite to fight an evil force that threatens their friends and precious Disney worlds “. These worlds include for example those of Toy Story, Lion King, Frozen, Monstres et Compagnie or Aladdin.

Finally, the games of the Square Enix franchise are already available for pre-order. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX retails for $ 49.99 while the other three games are priced at $ 59.99. Moreover, in addition to the PC release, a Kingdom Hearts series is also in development at Disney +.
