Unfortunately, this month, we are adding back postponed release dates. Today’s Dying Light 2, which has just been postponed to an unknown date. Techland studio announced it on Twitter a few hours ago.
This sad news joins all those of the last days. The studio CD Projekt Red pushed Cyberpunk 2077 back several months and Square Enix postponed the release of the Final Fantasy VII remake by a month and then that of Marvel’s Avengers 4 months. same Ubisoft announced delay release of all titles this year following its editorial team restructuring. The curse continues today with the Polish studio Techland which repels Dying Light 2 on a date not yet determined. The long-awaited game for zombie and parkour fans was supposed to be released in the spring of 2020…

An understandable delay
In the words of the CEO of Techland, Pawel Marchewka : ” We originally planned to release Dying Light 2 in the spring of 2020, but unfortunately we need more time to realize our vision. We will have more details to let you know in the coming months and will get back to you as soon as we have more information. We apologize for this unpleasant announcement. Our priority is to deliver an experience that meets our own standards and your expectations “.
This news is all the less understandable than Techland presented a gameplay video at E3 2019 which seemed very accomplished! In addition to impressive gameplay, Dying Light 2 enjoy a script directed by the talented Chris Avellone.
Anyway, Dying Light 2 will still be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC when it’s ready. Techland promised to donate more information in the coming months, and we will of course keep you posted.
