Recently, Qualcomm has officially launched the Snapdragon 855+ mobile platform and the first smartphone equipped with this chip is ASUS ROG Phone 2. Many people are curious about the power of the Snapdragon 885+. when compared to the Snapdragon 885. And today the question was answered when there was a benchmark of the ASUS ROG Phone 2 on Geekbench.
Appears on Geekbench with "ASUS_I001DC" number, ROG Phone 2 runs Android 9 Pie with 12GB RAM. Most likely when launching the device, there will be more options for RAM as well as ROM memory.
Performance measurements of ASUS ROG Phone 2 are 3,616 single-core points, 11,103 multi-core points. This score is only slightly higher than the average of the Snapdragon 855 smartphone chips. The distance between the two chips is not large because the Snapdragon 855+ only has higher CPU and GPU clock speeds than the Snapdragon 855.
However, the benchmark score does not reflect the actual experience of the device. Most likely on gaming smartphones, the Snapdragon 855+ will be optimized to provide smooth graphics processing as well as speed up all tasks.
ASUS ROG Phone 2 has been scheduled for release on July 23rd.
