The Japan Meteorological Agency said that the 7.1 magnitude earthquake just happened just off the northeast coast of Japan.
The earthquake occurred at 9 p.m. on February 13 (Vietnam time) off the province’s coast Fukushima, with epicenter located at a depth of 60km.
Many buildings in the capital Tokyo can feel vibration from this earthquake.
No tsunami warnings were issued following this quake.
On the same day, the Armenian authorities announced that there was a strong 4.7-degree earthquake in the area 8km southeast of Yerevan at 18:29 on February 13 (Vietnam time). Many buildings in Yeravan could feel the tremors.
On his personal Facebook page, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said 1 person was injured in this quake. There are currently no reports of major damage caused by the earthquake.
