At the risk of teaching you if you missed the last Nintendo Direct, the next character who will follow Sephiroth in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a duo straight out of Xenoblade 2. While Rex was originally tipped to take the job, the first few minutes of Big N’s presentation quickly confirmed the arrival of Pyra and Mythra. However, while now we know the identity of the next character to enter the game, we are still missing the date to mark on our calendar.
Rest assured, the wait shouldn’t be long anymore since Nintendo has just announced that the release date of these charming ladies (who are actually not really, since they are tools, eh?) Will be revealed soon by the director of the game: Masahiro Sakurai. The latter will take the time to present the intricacies of their moveset and share some development anecdotes in passing. The ideal opportunity to learn more about this outstanding duo of fighters, quite unknown to the general public.
This presentation, probably recorded in advance, should last about thirty minutes and will take place on March 4 at 3 p.m. Watch out for those who want to watch the presentation in the hopes of learning more about the next character waiting quietly in the queue, this one (just like the last ones devoted to characters) will only focus on Pyra. and Mythra, nothing more. You have been warned.
So, ready to set the arena ablaze (we will also have more information on the unpublished arena during the show) and dazzle your opponents with your multiple talents? On March 4 at 3 p.m., we’ll finally know when Pyra and Mythra join the gargantuan roster of Super Smash Bros. characters. Ultimate. Of course, this title is a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
