Neither Lionel Messi nor Cristiano Ronaldo is in the top 20 most expensive footballers in the world in 2021.

Top 2021’s list of the world’s top most expensive players Transfermarkt Kylian Mbappe continued. The French superstar is valued at 180 million euros, far ahead of the second person and also a teammate at PSG, Neymar (128 million euros).

The six players ranked from 3rd to 8th are all names playing in the Premier League, incl Mane, Salah, Kane, De Bruyne (120 million euros), Arnold and Sterling (110 million euros).

The star with a big promotion in the top 20 is Son Heung-min. The player who plays for Tottenham is valued at 90 million euros and ranked 16th on the list.

Lionel Messi in the final year of his contract with Barca is still valued at 80 million euros and ranked 24, while Ronaldo is ranked 64 with a value of 60 million euros.

Despite owning the two most expensive players in the world, PSG is not the team with the highest squad value. This position belongs Liverpool with 111 billion euros. Right behind is Man City with a squad value of 1.06 billion euros.

The defending Champions League champion Bayern Munich ranked third with 893.5 million euros, PSG ranked fourth with 870 million euros. MAnchester United is ranked 8th with a squad worth 744.35 million euros.
