The US Senate on Wednesday (May 26, US time) unanimously passed a bill that would require the administration of President Joe Biden to declassify all intelligence related to the origin of COVID-19, in It contains information about what happened at the Wuhan Laboratory at the beginning of the pandemic.
The bill just passed by the Senate is officially called the COVID-19 Origins Act 2021 and was submitted to the Senate by Republican senators Josh Hawley (Missouri) and Mike Braun (Indiana).

The bill requires the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) to declassify to the American public all intelligence reported last month about alleged links between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origin of the coronavirus. This bill was passed with the complete unanimity of senators from both parties.
Sen. Hawley said on the Senate floor on May 26 that the bill gives the American public the opportunity to evaluate the evidence for themselves. He added that this is only the first step.

The declassified documents may relate to activities carried out by the Wuhan Institute of Virology with or on behalf of the People’s Liberation Army of China, research on corona virus, or other related actions conducted. at the Wuhan Institute of Virology before the COVID-19 outbreak, and information about researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology who were hospitalized with COVID-19-like symptoms in November 2020.
The DNI would then, within 90 days of the bill being formally enacted into law, be required to present a report to the US Congress, containing declassified information.
