Samsung has made improvements to the Galaxy Fold re-exports / What have all the changes Samsung made on the improved Galaxy Fold / what has Samsung fixed on the Galaxy Fold?

Samsung is ready to announce an improved Galaxy Fold. After an embarrassing launch earlier this year when it was judged to be of poor quality, the company was forced to delay the launch of this first folding phone. Samsung must return the device to the technical department to find a way to make it more durable and rugged. It then announced in July that the Galaxy Fold would re-export in September. And at IFA 2019, Samsung finally announced an improved version of the Galaxy Fold.

The settings will automatically zoom in when the machine is opened

Samsung representatives said they made three major changes. First, a protective layer is added to the top and bottom edges of the hinge to seal gaps that could previously allow dust to enter the inside of the phone, damaging the screen. The previous damage was also caused by the user removing the protective polymer layer on the screen. Because it does not completely cover the entire 7.3-inch folding screen, many people decided to remove this protective layer. With the reworked design, the protective layer now expands and lies below the border to eliminate gaps like before.

The hinge part has been improved.

Samsung also added metal layers below the screen to increase the bearing capacity and the feeling of touching the touch screen will be more comfortable. Sound emitted when opening / opening the screen is not as annoying as before. With the updates, the Galaxy Fold when folded is more stable and almost completely flat 180 degrees when open. The lock prevents the device from being suddenly folded when used with one hand.

The distance between the hinge and the body has been significantly reduced.

In addition to the structural improvements, Samsung also sought to reduce the distance between the hinge and the body of the Galaxy Fold so that the device will not be as thick as before. The gaps remain but are reduced to an acceptable level, the screen still has a prominent line running between.

In addition to changes in design, the Galaxy Fold remains the same.

Apart from the hardware changes, there is no difference on the Galaxy Fold. It still has a feature that allows apps to automatically expand to use the entire 7.3-inch screen when the user opens the phone. The external screen is still a small 4.6-inch panel as before. Samsung said nothing has changed, meaning that the screen resolution, battery capacity and camera settings remain the same.

Galaxy Fold is available in South Korea for 2,398 million won (about 46 million) and will arrive in Germany, England and Singapore on September 17. The 5G version is available in select markets, including South Korea, and hits the US market in the coming weeks.
