Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of salt on a piece of konjac and let it sit for 5 minutes. Most of these products have been de-squeezed these days, but if you use this method to further remove the lye, the unique konjac odor will disappear and you will be able to eat deliciously.

4. Boil down

After 5 minutes, when the water that is the source of the odor comes out, rinse it gently with water, boil it in boiling water for about 3 minutes, and give it to a colander. This completes the pretreatment.

When to add konjac to oden?

The main principle of making oden is to simmer the ones that are difficult to cook first. Therefore, the correct time to put konjac is when you put the first pot on the fire. In addition to konjac, ingredients such as radish and eggs that take time to soak in the taste begin to be stewed at this time.

After boiling for about 20 minutes, add the paste and fried food, and simmer for another 20 minutes to complete the delicious oden.
