If you’ve just installed or upgraded to iOS 11 on your iPhone, you’ll automatically send location data to Apple servers even if you don’t want to. Fortunately, we can customize it so that Apple cannot track our location.
According to Apple: If you agree to provide the company with location information, Apple may analyze performance issues such as the strength of the mobile signal at a specific location. This analytical location data may include the location of the device once per day, the location where a call ended or the store transaction location failed, etc.
That’s Apple’s theory, however, if you don’t want to share your location, you can do the following:
If you want to disable all data sent to Apple, you only need to access it Settings> Privacy> Analytics, then turn off the option Share iPhone Analytics (or Share iPhone & Watch Analytics if you use both Apple Watch).
