President Trump accepted the Republican presidential nomination from the White House, with nearly 2,000 supporters attending.
In his one-hour-long speech, Mr Trump emphasized: “[Ông] Joe Biden will not be the one to save the soul of America – he is the destroyer of American jobs, and if given the chance, he will be the one to destroy America great“.
And in defending the idea of running the country for another four years, Mr. Trump argued that he kept his promises and passed them on to his backers. He pledged: “In the new term, we will rebuild the greatest economy in history, quickly fill jobs, quickly increase income and prosper at record levels.“.
Through his speech, President Trump once again portrayed Mr. Biden as a candidate to be driven by the left-wing Democrats, warning of a chaotic future for Americans if Mr. Biden won the general election in November.
Mr. Trump emphasized that: “This is the most important election in the history of our country“.
He declared: “There has never been a time before that voters faced a clearer choice between two parties, two visions, two philosophies and two plans of action. This election will decide whether we will save the American dream, or will we allow a socialist agenda to destroy our cherished dignity.“.
The President argued: “This election will decide whether we will defend the American way of life, or will we allow the radical movement to erase and destroy it.“.
He accused: [Ông] Biden is a coward. He takes orders from radical liberal hypocrites, who talk a lot about their cities, while fleeing far away from the ruins of those cities.“.
Mr. Trump added that Mr. Biden was “the horse of the Troa of socialism“.
Hours before President Trump’s RNC speech, Mr. Biden criticized the White House boss. As unrest persisted across the country after police shot a black man in Wisconsin last week, Mr. Biden in a televised interview accused Trump of “advocating for riot to increase, not decrease ” and that the president “Just add oil to the fire“.
The former US vice president also accused Mr. Trump of treating the protests as “political interests to me“.
President Trump in his White House speech countered last week’s Democrat conference, arguing: “Mr. Biden and his party have repeatedly criticized the United States as a land of racial, economic, and social injustice. So tonight, I ask you a very simple question: How can Democrats lead our country when they spend so much time overthrowing this country.“.
“Our country is not built by a culture of denial”Mr. Trump said.
Mr. Trump pledged: “As long as I am president, I will defend the absolute right of every American citizen to live in safety, dignity and peace ”. He referred to the Democrats as side by side “Anarchists, rioting, looting and burning flags“. He pledged: “Republicans will protect the voices of patriotic heroes, keep America safe“.
The President also accused: “If you give Mr. Joe Biden power, the extremist left will cut the money of police departments across America. They will pass federal laws to reduce law enforcement forces nationwide … No one will be safe in Biden’s America“.
Opposing Mr. Biden and his running joint – Ms. Kamala Harris, criticizing the incumbent US president “pathetic failure“In managing the federal response to the corona virus,” Trump said: “We have the largest nationwide resource mobilization deployment since World War Two. Citing the Defense Manufacturing Act, we have produced the largest number of ventilators in the world. Not a single American who needs a ventilator is denied service. We have shipped hundreds of millions of masks, gloves and gowns to our front line health workers. To protect the elderly in our country, we have accelerated medical supplies, testing kits and staff to nursing homes and long-term care facilities. The Army Corps of Engineers have built field hospitals, and the Navy has deployed our large hospital ships.“.
Mr. Trump emphasized that: “From scratch, we have developed the most advanced and largest testing system in the world“. The President predicted: “We will have a vaccine [COVID-19] safe and effective this year, and together we will destroy this virus“.
President Trump also devoted part of his speech on August 27 to outline his plan of action if he wins a second term.
Mr. Trump pledged: “We will create 10 million new jobs in 10 months. We will hire more police officers, aggravate penalties for law enforcement attackers, and greatly increase the number of federal prosecutors to communities with high crime rates. We will ban death-shelters, and ensure that federal medical care is to protect American citizens, not illegal immigrants.“.
