Samsung is a pioneer in bringing selfie cameras down below the touch screen, using its unique Infinity-O design. However, with this design, the smartphone screen still reveals a flaw, which is a hole to reveal the front camera. Samsung is keen to look forward to the perfect New Infinity screen design, but it looks like OPPO has gone one step ahead.
Recently, OPPO shared an extremely interesting video on its Twitter page. It's the first smartphone in the world to have a selfie camera underneath the touch screen, without any openings.
Its operation mechanism is impressive, when no need to use it, the screen will show up completely. When you need to use a selfie camera, the display will be pushed down, revealing a circle that is a selfie camera lens.

OPPO does not reveal the mechanism of camera technology under this screen. But we can see that the image quality seems to be greatly reduced compared to the conventional selfie camera mechanism. It is also understandable when the light must go through the touch screen to get inside the lens and reach the sensor.
This is just an OPPO experiment, and we still don't know when this unique technology will be put into practice. But it is also a big step for Chinese phone company, compared to Samsung in the race to reach the most perfect smartphone design.
