Not only is the first folding screen smartphone, FlexPai is also the first smartphone to run on a high-end Snapdragon 855 chip.
If you think the Galaxy Fold or Huawei Mate X are the first smartphones in the current era of folding screen smartphones, then you're probably wrong. This title belongs to a Chinese smartphone called Royole FlexPai. While the Galaxy Fold and Mate X had to be officially announced in early 2019, with the FlexPai, manufacturer Royole announced the smartphone from the end of 2018, specifically in November.
Not only that, FlexPai is also a high-end smartphone that runs on the first Snapdragon 855 chip, as well as the first commercially available smartphone screen to be commercialized (without any delay).
Royole FlexPai has been on the shelf since last April. And until today, we have had the opportunity to quickly launch this unique smartphone. The version we have on hand is the 6GB + 128GB RAM version of storage, currently has a price in the US market of 1318 USD, equivalent to 30.5 million. FlexPai also has an additional 8GB + 256GB RAM version with a higher price, about VND 34 million.

Opening the box will be Royole's greeting for users of folding screen smartphones

Accompanying the machine is a VIP voucher that uses some services in domestic China

Royole also offers a nice leather case to protect the device

FlexPai has the same basic design as Galaxy Fold or Mate X

The screen has a 7.8-inch 2K resolution and a 4: 3 aspect ratio of the tablet

The thick screen border of the FlexPai is not as thin as the Mate X

The top edge is even thicker than the other 3 sides because it is the location of both camera assemblies and some other components

FlexPai's screen uses AMOLED panels for high flexibility, but the display quality is not very good.

The whole machine looks like a tablet

In full-open mode, FlexPai offers a completely similar user experience to a tablet, the UI used is also the interface for the tablet.

FlexPai has a folding mechanism similar to Mate X

When in folding mode, the device will be half the size, but is quite thick and bulky

The entire application will be moved to one side of the screen

The bottom edge of the device is the position of the power key, volume up and down keys and fingerprint sensor right in the middle of the volume key

The left edge is the speaker range

Right side is sim tray, USB-C charging port and 2nd recording mic

When folded, the FlexPai looks quite bulky

There was still a big gap in the middle of the hinge

FlexPai is equipped with the most powerful Snapdragon 855 chip with RAM 6 / 8GB. The battery has a capacity of 3970mAh

With such a powerful configuration, the machine achieves 333,000 AnTuTu points

And can play a lot of heavy games like PUBG Mobile
When playing games in folding mode, the machine will display a large area of tools at the bottom
Unlike Mate X, when playing games in full screen mode and folding, the PUBG Mobile game automatically forces closed rather than switching to the smaller screen mode. This may be because the software is not yet optimized, we need to wait for Royole to fix it in a new update

Royole FlexPai is priced at VND 30.5 million, much cheaper than Galaxy Fold or Mate X
