Nokia 1 was officially upgraded to Android 9 Pie operating system


HMD Global, which owns the Nokia brand exclusively for phones and tablets, announced that the Nokia 1 smartphone has officially been upgraded to Android 9 Pie operating system (Go version).

Nokia 1 is considered the last smartphone in the Nokia family to be upgraded to Android 9 Pie operating system, meaning that all Nokia smartphone users have the opportunity to experience the latest operating system from Google.

Mr. Juho Sarvikas, Product Manager at HMD Global, said that Nokia 1 upgraded to Android 9 Pie operating system has helped Nokia brand to own full collection of Nokia smartphones running the latest operating system from Google with the price only from 80USD.

New features from Android 9 Pie operating system (Go version)

The Android 9 Pie operating system (Go Version) comes with a host of new applications from Google designed to run faster and with less data.

This is the optimized operating system to become smoother and faster including applications like Google Go – web search application, Google Maps Go or Youtube Go and Google Assistant for Android (Go version) with the function of sending messages, making calls, setting alarms … all are done by the voice of the user.

With few applications running in the background, Android 9 Pie operating system will help the smartphone become smoother in operations, users will receive twice the available storage capacity. For new applications will be designed for faster updates and downloads to help users control capacity and significantly improve phone performance.
