The TechDroider leaker shared new features of the OnePlus 9, thanks to screenshots retrieved from AIDA64. Based on the information available, the OnePlus 9 should share a lot of common features with its big brother, the OnePlus 9 Pro.
The two smartphones should soon be available for sale in France, since their official presentation is scheduled for March.
According to information from TechDroider, the OnePlus 9 (LE2117) will be powered by the Snapdragon 888, which will be supported by 8 Go of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The phone will have a 6.55 inch FHD + (1080 x 2400) 402 ppi display. Like the OnePlus 8T before it, the OnePlus 9 will offer a 120Hz screen refresh rate.
On the photo side, the OnePlus 9 will be equipped witha 48 MP main camera and two other still unknown cameras. On the front, we should find a 16 MP selfie camera. The smartphone will be powered by a 4500 mAh battery, compatible with the 65W fast charging introduced on the OnePlus 8T. Finally, this one would be compatible with wireless charging, while this was until now reserved for Pro models.
According to TechDroider, unlike Samsung and Apple, OnePlus will not remove the power adapter from the box. Most of these technical characteristics had been corroborated by the handling of the prototype of the OnePlus 9.
OnePlus 9 Pro: the high-end smartphone borrows functionality from the Galaxy S21 Ultra
Unlike the OnePlus 9, it will have a 6.7-inch QHD + 120 Hz screen. According to Max Jambor, another famous leaker, the OnePlus 9 Pro will benefit from an LTPO screen, just like the Galaxy S21 Ultra. This technical feature allows the offer screen an adaptive refresh rate that varies from 10 Hz to 120 Hz depending on the content displayed, to save battery. In addition, it will be powered by the same battery of 4500 mAh and the same fast charge of 65W.
For the photo part, we know that OnePlus has entered into a partnership with Hasselblad, however, until then we had no information on the sensors that will be available. According to Max Jambor, the OnePlus 9 Pro could be equipped with an IMX789 and not an IMX766 like the OPPO Find X3 Pro. With such specifications, OnePlus could quickly catch up on its accumulated delay over its photographic competitors.
