House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she had no interest in disciplining former President Donald Trump after the Senate acquitted Trump during the second impeachment trial.
She said reprimanding Trump would be the same “A pat on the wrist.”
“We just reprimanded [với lý do như] using the army for the wrong purpose, not blaming for inciting murderous insurgencies on the Capitol, Mrs. Pelosi added.
Ms. Pelosi made the remarks during a surprise visit to the House of Representatives’ Impeachment Executive Group, which she selected at a press conference after the Senate acquitted the former President.
She seemed angry about the outcome of the impeachment trial. She smashed the table several times and criticized the senators for voting against the conviction “A group of cowardly Republicans.”

In a statement after being acquitted, Trump said he would always fight for the rule of law.
He said: “I have always been and will always be a fight for the steadfast rule of law, for the heroes of law enforcement, and for the right of Americans to peacefully and respectfully debate current affairs without being treated with malice and hatred. “
At the same time, he also declared that the “Make America Great Again” movement was just beginning.
“In the coming months, I have so much to share with you, and I look forward to together continuing our incredible journey to bring America’s greatness to all of our people. There has never been anything like that! “ – written statement.
