For the whole quarter 1, international visitors to our country were estimated at over 4.2 million arrivals, up 30.9% over the same period last year. In which, arrivals by air increased by 27.9%; by road by 53.6%; sea passenger increased by 6.9%.
Of the 4.2 million international visitors to Vietnam in the first quarter, visitors from Asia reached more than 3.1 million, up 37.6% over the same period last year. In which, visitors from main markets increased: from China increased 42.9%; South Korea increased by 69.2%; Japan increased by 6.9% …
Visitors from Europe were estimated to increase by 15.4% year-on-year. In which, visitors from Russia increased 15.8%; The UK increased 14.4%; France increased 12%; Germany increased 9.8%; Sweden increased by 20.6% … Visitors from the Americas increased by 11.5% over the same period last year, of which visitors from the US increased 13.4% …
Revenue from accommodation and catering services in the first 3 months of the year is estimated at more than 128,000 billion VND. Estimated tourism and travel revenue in the quarter reached more than VND 10,000 billion, up 30.3% over the same period last year, of which Ho Chi Minh City increased the most at 32.3%.
Thus, in 3 consecutive months, the number of international visitors to our country exceeded 1 million visitors / month.
