Mastermind finds a release date

We told you about it some time ago, that’s it, the game Peaky Blinders: Mastermind will be released on August 20, 2020 and will be available on PC, PlayStation4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Adaptation of the eponymous series, this new puzzle-adventure is edited by Curve Digital and developed by FuturLab in collaboration with the independent British studio Caryn Mandabach Productions, the producers of the series and Steven Knight, the creator of it, enough to reassure fans and make this game a completely canon prequel to the series. Even the voice of Cillian Murphy, the interpreter of Thomas “Tommy” Shelby, is present in the trailer.

The story takes place after World War I and just before the events of the first season, it will feature the rise of Thomas Shelby as the head of the Peaky Blinders to foil a plot that could harm them. The player will be able to play 6 key characters from the series: Tommy, Arthur, Polly, John, Ada and young Finn.

For each mission it will be possible to move each character on the map and perform different actions which will be recorded in a timeline. This timeline is the essential point of the gameplay since it will be possible to stop, move forward or backward in order to find the perfect sequence of actions to finish each mission in a limited time and without being noticed. Infiltration and strategy will therefore be required to carry out the missions of the Birmingham gang.

After Velocity 2X and several virtual reality games, FuturLab is going off the beaten track to offer us this infiltration puzzle-adventure that should make more than one think about it. In addition to the success of Human Fall Flat, this isn’t the first time we’ve come across Curve Digital on a TV series adaptation, they were already an editor for Narcos: Rise of the Cartels. Note also the presence of the group Feverist, which participated in the soundtrack of the first season of Peaky Blinders.

By order of the Peaky Blinders it is already possible to pre-order the game on Xbox One and PC to benefit from a 20% reduction. And to top it off, the people who pre-order on PC will have the chance to get the Peaky Blinders: Mastermind Soundtrack as a gift composed by the group Feverist!
