Manulife wants to unite creative activities in Asia Pacific

This insurance company is cooperating with many agencies throughout the region.

According to Campaign Asia magazine, Manulife is looking for a new creative agency to collaborate on for the Asian market, while also consolidating creative activities in this market.

The Canadian-based insurance giant named Heat (a Deloitte group) as the global creative agency for Manulife in July 2017. And now this insurance group is looking for an agency to handle the Asian market.

Manulife is working with more than 8 agencies across the continent, including Mcgarrybowen in Hong Kong and China, JWT in the Philippines and Tribal DDB in Singapore.

Speaking via email, a Manulife spokesperson did not confirm any of these plans and said: “Manulife always wants to optimize its marketing activities and relationships with agencies. We appreciate the agencies that are collaborating and remain focused on promoting branding and growing sales. ”

However, a marketing specialist who has worked for Manulife in Asia said the agency’s unification of creative activities has been under consideration within the group for a while.

R3 is believed to be in charge of the merger but the company declined to comment.
