‘Little Sancho’ refused Barca and Juventus to sign a contract with MU

17-year-old prodigy Shola Shoretire is said to have turned down many of the big guys in Europe to sign his first professional contract with Manchester United.

According to the The Sun, Shola Shoretire declined invitations from many major teams, including Barca and Juventus, to sign a professional contract with MU. This Nigerian-born English player is expected to be a new Jadon Sancho in world football.

Shoretire’s strengths are his speed, dexterity and good use of both feet. This young talent joined MU’s youth training center at the age of 10 and quickly proved his potential.

Shoretire appeared at the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland when he was only 13 years old in 2017. By 2019, he made history at 14 years and 314 days old, he started in Man United’s 2-1 win over Valencia and back. to be the youngest player to appear in the UEFA Youth League – a league for teams under the age of 19.

As a Nigerian-born player and plays in an attacking position, Shoretire has been compared to Jay Jay Okocha, the legend of this African national football. Now that the talent is blooming, the player who has just turned 17 is expected to shine like Jadon Sancho.
