Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be the successor to Samsung's current Active with many noticeable improvements.
After a series of rumors that Samsung is researching and developing the successor version of the Galaxy Watch Active which was released in March this year as the Galaxy Watch Active 2, today, a series of realistic images first appeared, showing us a more general view of this new smartwatch.
According to SamMobile, while the predecessor version is Galaxy Watch Active only released with a size of 40mm, Active 2 will be released with 2 versions of 40mm and 44mm. However, reports indicate that the bezel of the Galaxy Gear and Galaxy Watch generations will no longer be equipped with the new Watch Active line.
With the removal of the bezel rotating frame, Active 2 will look more like the Watch Active. Some small differences can be found including home keys and side power keys, rectangular back keys and sensors that measure the heart rate on the back.
The actual images also show that Watch Active 2 will be equipped with a small microphone between the home key and the power key on the right side and the speaker strip on the left side. This means that the Galaxy Watch Active 2 will probably be able to receive and make calls directly on the device, and there will certainly be two versions including one that supports LTE and one that only supports WIFI.
Both versions will run on the upgraded One UI 1.5 interface from version 1.0 on Samsung's current Watch lines. The battery pack of the 2 versions will have a difference: 340mAh for the LTE version and 237mAh for the Wi-Fi version.
Although Samsung has not disclosed the official launch date for this smartwatch, we can predict that the company will introduce the Watch Active 2 at the launch of the Galaxy Note 10 held in August.
