Lamborghini has officially announced its first hybrid production vehicle commercially available as the Sian, limited to only 63 units. Sian will be massively introduced by Lamborghini at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2019 exhibition taking place next week. Delicate will also be present at the event.
On the homepage, Lamborghini says that Sian (SINH) means lightning in the Bolognese dialect and the lightning image also represents electricity. This supercar is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine similar to the Aventador SVJ but comes with a 48 V electric motor that stores energy from the world's first supercapacitor, thereby adding 34 hp (24 kW). ) for Sian, increasing her power to 819 horsepower (602 kW). Thus, Sian was officially deposed Aventardor SVJ with a capacity of 770 horsepower (566 kW).
Coupled with this hybrid powertrain is a 7-speed automatic gearbox with adaptive shift characteristics according to the driving mode. The two electric gasoline engines work closely together at low to high velocities, providing instant feedback when accelerating from a standstill state, allowing Sian to take less than 2.8 seconds to reach 100 km / h. The maximum speed of Sian over 350 km / h, still lower than the 490 km / h of Bugatti Chiron Sport just achieved a few days ago but faster than the Aventador SVJ.
In addition, Sian is also equipped with advanced regenerative braking (brake) energy system to recharge supercapacitors for electric motors. Lamborghini says the advantage of Sian's supercapacitor is that it can be charged and discharged with the same energy level, Sian's energy storage system will be fully charged every time it wins.
In terms of design, Sian owns a futuristic design combined with aesthetics and special aerodynamic solutions. Lamborghini DNA can be immediately recognized with lines called Gandini lines – the design language that first appeared on the Countach line. The front of the car is angled low, carbon fiber components separate the body and the distinctive Y-lights as well as the air intake vents, the front bumper – these are design points borrowed from Terzo Millennio. Tough tunnel tail, strong dividing lines, taillights on each side 3 hexagonal lights inspired by Countach. The tail wing will also open automatically when accelerating and the two stabilizing wings on both sides will have the number 63 – representing the number of vehicles produced.
Sian starts at $ 3.6 million and of course Lamborghini allows buyers to personalize the vehicle through Lamborghini's in-house customization program. It is known that all 63 Sian were sold out.
