Ivanka Trump said "the issue is on the priority" of each party when asked about the impeachment investigation against her father.

Democratic-controlled U.S. House of Representatives opened a impeachment investigation on Trump on 24 September, after an anonymous accuser accused the US president of pressuring his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky in a phone call on Wednesday. July 25, to investigate former US Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden.
Hunter used to work on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Trump and his associates suspect Joe Biden took advantage of power and relations with Kiev while in office to help Burisma dodge the criminal investigation of former Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Shokin in 2016.
Trump on October 1 called the impeachment investigation of the US House of Representatives "a coup". The White House also refused to produce documents for investigations at the request of committees of the House of Representatives, because they thought this was "not yet formalized". Trump said he had "challenged" House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to hold a vote to open his investigation.
