IS confirmed Baghdadi's death, announced the new leader

An IS spokesman confirmed the death of Baghdadi, announced the new leader, Abi Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashi, and called for gunmen to take revenge.

"We deeply mourn the commander of the faith," according to a seven-minute recording released today by the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) group, referring to Supreme Leader Abu Bakr al- Baghdadi. Readers of the announcement were introduced as Abu Hamza al-Quraishi, IS spokesman.

The statement said that the group's legislative and advisory body was convened shortly after the death of the Iraqi leader. "The Council of the Islamic State was convened immediately after confirming the martyrdom of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The elders agreed to the replacement," the spokesman said. Accordingly, the new leader of the group is Abi Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashi.

IS spokesperson described US President Donald Trump as "crazy old man". and warn the United States that its supporters will avenge the death of Baghdadi. "America should not be excited. The new leader will make you forget the horror you have seen and make the achievements of Baghdadi period sweet," the IS spokesperson added.

The US Delta task force on October 26 attacked Baghdadi's hideout in Idlib province, northwestern Syria. Baghdadi then detonated a suicide belt in the bunker with two children. In addition to Baghdadi and two children, four women and a man were also killed at the compound. The women have been intimidating acts and suicide bomber belts.

The Pentagon on October 30 announced a US special mission video to reach a high-walled building, where Baghdadi was hiding. After destroying Baghdadi, US forces attacked and flattened the building before leaving.

The body of the IS supreme leader is buried under Islamic customs on an undetermined sea. Baghdadi's death is seen as an important victory for US President Donald Trump in the context of his fierce criticism for his decision to withdraw troops from Syria, a move that is expected to enable IS to revive.
