The US military confirmed that three infantry soldiers were killed and another three were injured in a training accident at Fort Stewart in Georgia state, southeast of the country.
Officials at Fort Stewart said the soldiers in distress were the combat squads of the Army's No. 1 Armored Brigade. At the time of the accident on October 20, they were moving on a Bradley fighting vehicle.

Authorities noted that three soldiers died at the scene, while three others were transferred to Winn Army Hospital for treatment. The cause of the problem is still unknown.
RT quoted Major General Tony Aguto, commander of the 3rd Infantry Division, emphasizing that the US military was deeply saddened by the loss.
Fort Stewart is located about 64km south of the Savannah city of Georgia. This is where the headquarters of the illustrious 3rd Infantry Division of the US Army is located.
Two years ago, a soldier also died at the base by accident in a live-fire shooting training.
