At the rear, the body panels are also tweaked to create accents, the rear lights have a much thinner design than the previous generation. Hyundai says the Kona 2022 is 41mm longer than the previous version.
The N Line version alone will have a sportier design, with three air intakes above the grille and front bumper with body color, along with 18-inch wheels with a sporty and muscular design.
Previously Kona Electric had discrete indentations in the grille area, the Kona Electric 2022 had a simpler, smoother front end with refreshed headlights and a similar rear end to the gasoline engine.
The standard Hyundai Kona 2022 is equipped with the same 2.0-liter I4 engine as before, making 147 horsepower and 180 Nm of torque. The turbocharged 1.6L I4 engine is fitted to the N Line and Limited versions, producing 195 hp, 20 hp more than before and mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch DCT gearbox.
