How to write, insert text on photos quickly and simply with Paint application


How to write and insert text on photos quickly and simply with the Paint application available on Windows. You can easily create birthday cards, greeting cards with this trick.

You probably already know: Windows supports a simple, easy-to-use photo editing tool that is Paint. Although it only supports simple photo editing, things like writing text on images, rotating or cropping images, Paint application is more than enough to do, but it is also much faster than Photoshop or other photo editing tools.

How to write, insert text on photos with Paint application available in Windows

Step 1: Right-click on it image you want to insert text and choose Edit . If the Edit does not open with Paint, right-click it again, choose Open with → Paint.

Step 2: Now the image will be opened with the Paint tool, the Paint tool interface will look like the image below.

Step 3: You click letter A on the Paint toolbar.

Step 4: Then click on the place where you want to write text on the image. Enter the information you want to write, now on the toolbar, editing tools will appear (if not, click the tab Text ). Inside:

  • Font: Choose font, font size, italic/bold/underline
  • Background: Customize the background
  • Colors: Customize colors

Tips: If you are done editing, then remember to highlight the words you want to edit (press Ctrl + A or click in front of the words you want to blacken, press, hold the mouse and drag to highlight).

You can click on the 4 borders around the text (a 4-way arrow appears), press and hold to move the text to the position you like.

Note: While not finished, you can’t click on other areas on the image or you can’t edit the text, this is also a very inconvenient thing.

Writing text on photos is very easy with Paint

Place the mouse over the border above or below the text frame, when a 4-way arrow appears as shown below, you can move the text to any position on the image.

Step 5: So you have write text on photo it’s done. All that remains is to save the image.

If you want to save the image with the same format as the image before adding text, select File -> Save (or Ctrl + S key combination). If you want to save in a different format, select File -> Save as then select the image format you want to save.
