Start uphill

Generally, one situation that may be encountered on mountain roads is that you are going uphill when parking. At the end of the last episode, the stationmaster has taught everyone to turn the front of the car to the left when parking, and remember that you have to enter the gear. , And after turning off the flame, you have to hit the faucet to the left, and then lower the jamb. And why should the leader hit the left? In fact, it is the relationship between the design of the vehicle. Because the side pillar is on the left, when you hit the faucet to the left, the vehicle will lean to the left, which is more stable. Next, start the engine to make an uphill start, like first, straighten the faucet, raise the front of the car, and kick the side pillars, then turn on the switch, and find that the gear is already in gear. First grasp the front and rear brakes of the car, then start the switch, grasp the clutch, and make a start. At this time, because the brakes are still being stepped on, the car will not slip backward. Next, you can try to increase the speed a little. Of course the car still won’t move.

When it comes to two thousand revolutions, start to put a little clutch, you will feel that the speed has begun to drop, it means that the rear wheel has been supported, and then you can start smoothly. At the beginning, you still rely on Brake to stop the car. Of course, you can also stop the car purely by the rear brake. Then you can use the accelerator and clutch to control the car. Turn the accelerator to increase the speed, and then put a little clutch to the engagement point. Feeling that the car is about to go out, you can slowly release the brakes, and then continue to release the clutch, and the car will start. It’s that simple.

How to smoothly upshift

If you talk about an upshift with a clutch clutch, it is to release the accelerator and then grab a little clutch to do the upshift instantly. When will the clutch upshift be used? In fact, I think it will be used when carrying people, because when carrying people, I hope to say that the whole power output is relatively smooth. If you use the clutchless upshift today, you may still feel a little frustrated. The seat will sway and even hit your helmet. So I think that when you use the clutch to do upshifts during normal riding, it is still a skill you must learn, but what most people don’t know is that you can shift gears by just grabbing a little bit of the clutch.

No clutch upshift

The next thing I want to demonstrate to you is, the clutch-less upshift, the clutchless upshift is to say, how do you let go of the throttle and change the gear at the moment, there is no need to grasp the clutch, your left hand grasps you The grip, speed up, put it down, change it! His skill is to say, how much do you want to put? Then when is the timing of your shift? Usually the gear is hooked up the moment the throttle is released. There is no need to grasp the clutch at all. In fact, at high speeds, the gear shift will be smoother, but without the clutch, it will still have a slight vibration. When carrying people, I still recommend that you still use a little clutch, but you don’t need to grasp it all, just a half grasp, the gear can be easily changed.

How to unwind files smoothly

The more important thing is, how do you reverse the gear. The first thing you do is to replenish the oil. Why do you need to replenish the oil? Because when reversing the gear, it will have a speed difference. If you don’t refuel today, the engine will have a big engine brake, and even cause the rear wheels to lock up. At this time, your entire car It will feel like being dragged. Let’s give it a try. If you don’t add oil at all, just go back and put on the clutch. Start accelerating, upshifting, upshifting, if you put the clutch directly, there will be a heavy engine brake. Of course, because the CB650R has a so-called slip clutch that is anti-locking, so its frustration will not be so. Heavy, if it is an ordinary car, the frustration will be very heavy. The correct way to fill up the oil is to fill up the throttle at the moment of grasping the clutch. Of course, this part is the same as the stationmaster just said. In fact, when you are grasping the clutch, you can use a half-grabbing method and then go. You don’t need to fully grasp the fuel when you make up. At this time, you will feel that the engine speed will increase significantly, slow down and retreat, and instantly turn down your throttle. This is the point. The point of the hand movement is to pull it in an instant, and don’t pull it all! Take the right-hand throttle, turn it in an instant, you are in the process of braking, this is the time of refueling, the side brake and the braking force are still maintained!

Continuous retraction

Then, what the stationmaster wants to teach is continuous withdrawal. For example, I can shift to the second gear and the third gear when I get to the straight line. Then when I want to go back to the first gear continuously, I slow down, pull the clutch, and then go back two gears and then release the clutch. The so-called continuous back gear is that I am pulling While holding the clutch, move back several gears in a row, no matter whether it is two or three gears. I am operating the clutch at the same time. I am not putting it in stages. Why not put it in stages? Because if you release it in stages, it will cause the engine’s power to be engaged and released again and then engaged again, so your frustration will be greater, so since you have to continuously back gears, then I will continue to back down the clutch once, but If you are in the process of deceleration today, and you may need power to accelerate again at any time, then you may need to retreat in first gear, because you may retreat from third gear to second gear, and you may have second gear You need to speed up again, so you only retreat one gear at a time, but if you have determined that you want to retreat continuously, then you continue to retreat during the process of grasping the clutch. Then let go of the clutch and let the power engage.

For example, it’s now in first gear, accelerating out of the corner, second gear and third gear, decelerating from the clutch once. At this time, you don’t know if you have noticed that the station master actually makes up the throttle twice, that is, every time I retreat, I make up again. When I retreat for the second time, I will make up again, so there will be two throttle sounds, but my clutch will only grab once. So in the process of continuously reversing gear, you only need to grab the clutch once, but every time you retreat the gear, you will make up the throttle once, and when you retreat again, you will make up the second throttle. This is a continuous Back gear, but if you need to be motivated to take you away at any time during the deceleration process, then it may be better for you to back gear one at a time.

For example, shift to third gear after exiting a corner in second gear, and then return to second gear at the end. You may speed up again when you use second gear at any time, so you only retreat one gear one at a time. You are in a relatively gentle deceleration process. It may be necessary to speed up, so go back first, then back again, and if you have determined that you are reducing the speed to the right place at one time, for example, decelerate, retreat, and then release the clutch, so this is the continuous retraction and the progressive type In different places, you can gradually retreat your speed. In fact, your speed is slower, so you can. Every time you retreat, you can speed up at any time, but I have already stopped continuously. , It’s directly a heavy brake, and then I will retreat from fourth gear to second gear, or from third gear to first gear at a time, and retreat more than two gears continuously.
