Windows XP is one of the most loved versions of Windows ever.
It is stable and everything is perfect. Users who are using Windows 10 miss Windows XP as much as they miss Windows 7. Windows 10 has improved stability and if you miss XP a lot, you can make Windows 10 look like Windows XP with an app.
Items to download
To make Windows 10 look like Windows XP, you need to download the following;
Turn Windows 10 into Windows XP
Install the NeoClassic UI app and run it. Enable option Show all settings.
Start button
Step 1: Go to the Start Menu Style tab. Select option Classic Two Column.
Step 2: Click option Select Skin. On the next screen, open the drop-down menu and select skin Windows XP Luna.
Step 3: Go back to the Start Menu Style tab and click on the option Replace Start Button at the bottom and select the Start button from the ones you downloaded in the Items to download.
Taskbar
Step 1: Go to tab Taskbar. You will need to change a few things here. Enable option Customize Taskbar and choose Taskbar Texture. Browse and select the Taskbar Texture file you downloaded.
Step 2: Next, in options Horizontal stretching, Please choose Tile.
Step 3: Right click on your desktop taskbar and uncheck bỏ Show Taskview button and in Cortana, select Hide.
Color Adjustment
Step 1: Open the app Settings in Windows 10 > select Personalization > Colors. Select the blue swatch located on the first column of the third row.
Step 2: Make sure you have enabled the options to show color on the accent bar, Start button, and Action Center. Turn on effects Transparency.
Background
Also from the Personalization window you switch to the Background tab and set the happy wallpaper of Windows XP.
It is done!
This trick works on Windows 10 1803 or later. The NeoClassic UI app used to make Windows 10 look like Windows XP is a fork of the discontinued ClassicStart app.
There are some limitations to this new user interface. The File Explorer window and other UWP application windows are not changed.
To revert the changes, all you need to do is right-click on the Start button and select the word Exit. This will exit the NeoClassic-UI application and undo most of the changes. You will need to manually change the background image and accent color.
