Some of the features and apps in Windows 10, like Cortana, maps and weather, require access to device location and history data to work properly. Location services are enabled by default but, if applicable, Windows 10 allows you to disable them in certain applications or in all user accounts.
With the PC administrator account, open the Start menu and go to settings clicking the gear icon. On the page that opens, select Privacy and then go to the tab Location. Scroll down to the option Choose which apps can access your precise location. Use the switches to enable or disable location sharing with certain software:
In this same section of the settings, the user can also disable the sharing of his geolocation completely and clear the location history, among other adjustments. These features are particularly important for those who have notebooks with Windows 10 installed.
