The most used method in Excel to copy data from one spreadsheet to another is to use the Copy and Paste commands. However, it is not the only one. There are two other methods that allow you to do the same with the advantage that any changes in the source cell will be reflected in the target cell.

Transfer data with Copy and Paste

Click in the cell where the data you want to copy is located. Then, right-click and select Copy. Go to the other spreadsheet and click on the cell where you want to paste the data. Right-click and select Special necklace > Necklace. You can also use shortcuts Ctrl + Ç to copy and Ctrl + V to paste.

Copy the data with the + key

Click on the destination cell (where you want to paste the data) and press the key +. Go to the spreadsheet where the data you want to copy is located. Click on the data and press Enter. The data will automatically move to another cell.

Copy the data with a formula

Click on the destination cell (where you want to paste the data) and press the key +. Enter the name of the spreadsheet where the cell you want to copy is located (for example, Spreadsheet1). Press the key !. Enter the name of the cell you want to copy (for example, TO 1) and press Enter. In this example, the information should be = + Sheet1! A1.

The great advantage of this method is that any changes made to the source cell will be automatically saves in the target cell.
