Braised meat with eggs is a familiar dish in Vietnamese rice tray. In the Southern provinces, this is also a must-have traditional dish on Tet. Instead of the usual way, we can also cook braised meat with eggs in a rice cooker.
1. Raw materials need to prepare
- Bacon (bacon)
- Chicken or duck eggs
- Soy sauce, sugar, water
- Scallion, chili (if you like)

2. Processing steps:
- Step 1: Preliminary processing of meat
Rinse the meat, cut into square pieces of 2cm pieces in each direction.
Wash radish, peel and cut into large chunks.
Wash green onions, cut as long or as short as you like.
- Step 2: Fry the meat
Use fried porridge to fry. Turn the stove on for a while to heat up the pan. Do not add oil because the meat is already fatty. Sauté the fibers evenly.
- Step 3: Put the meat in the rice cooker
Put the meat you just sautéed in the bottom of the rice cooker, leaving the middle part. Then take 1 reasonably sized cup (good heat-resistant cup) and place it in the center. Add 2 eggs. Add green onions and ginger and pour water into the meat. Press the Cook button on the rice cooker and cook for about 1 hour.
After 1 hour, the meat in the pot was quite soft. Now we open it up, pick up the cup. Take the eggs out of the shell and then leave the eggs and radishes in the pot with the meat. Add soy sauce, sugar, and spices to taste.
Press the Cook button to cook for 1 more hour to complete.
3. Finished product requirement
It can be said, cooking braised meat with a rice cooker will save more time than conventional cooking. You don’t have to be on guard at all times, afraid of overflow, afraid of boiling, afraid of fire, … just press the button.
