How to convert Vni-Times font to Times New Roman


You are using Word, Excel with the default font is Times New Roman, but sometimes you copy online documents with the font Vni-Times and make the text error.

Normally, you will have to delete and type the text manually.

Instructions for converting Vni-Times fonts to Times New Roman

The way below can be applied to most Word or Excel versions such as 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 … Remember to prepare Vietnamese Unikey typing software.

Step 1: First, open a Word or Excel file and highlight the Vni-Times font text to be transferred and click Ctrl + C to Copy or Ctrl + X to cut. This will simultaneously save the text to the Clipboard.

Step 2: Press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + F6 to open the Unikey Toolkit application. At the tool interface, you set as follows:

  • Source code table: choose VNI Windows if it is VNI font; TCVN3 if it is VN-Times font
  • Destination charset: choose Unicode
  • Tick: Transcode clipboard

After setup is complete, you click Chuyển mã to convert the font of the copied text to the clipboard previously.
